Breast Health Workshops

Instructors provide one-on-one and group instruction on breast health, including recommendations for clinical screening and health self-advocacy, instruction on performing a breast self-exam (BSE), and information on breast cancer risk factors and prevention strategies. Silicone breast models are used to teach women how to conduct a BSE and identify different types of lumps.

• To Life! is also happy to train women who wish to become Breast Health instructors.

To Life!s Breast Health instructors are staff and volunteers, most of whom are breast cancer survivors. All are familiar with the issues affecting women concerned with breast health. They will tailor instruction sessions to meet your needs. They will visit your place of work, school, community center, school or place of worship to present a program of suitable length and level of detail for your group. Work groups frequently request lunchtime or after-work presentations.
