Volunteering
Programs and services offered by To Life! wouldn’t be possible without the help of volunteers.
Individuals, community groups, and business enterprises have all found ways to make meaningful contributions of their time and talents in support of To Life! We welcome you to connect with us — below are some suggestions, but we welcome your ideas as well.
Some of To Life!'s volunteer needs:
- Serve on a To Life! program or fundraising planning committee
- Help with phones and clerical work at To Life!
- Assist with To Life! education or wellness events
- Serve as a Peer Mentor for breast cancer survivors
- Organize a fundraising event through your workplace, club, or community group, with proceeds donated to To Life!
- Represent To Life! at health fairs and community expos
- Serve as a To Life! ambassador in your community by promoting our mission and services, arranging meetups at coffee shops, and initiating other activities for breast cancer survivors
- Lead a wellness class or teach a skill if you have an area of expertise
- Perform handy work in our office
- Help with outdoor maintenance (gardening, mowing, tree and brush trimming, window washing)
What Our Clients Say
I think I actually get more from volunteering than I give. It warms my heart to know we can share, care, support and learn from each other. It feels like a real “Sisterhood” because we really “get each other” in ways that no one else can understand.
Deb Nozik
What motivates me is knowing I can help someone who is struggling the way I did. Being there to offer support or just to listen to someone tell their story helps me and I hope them as well. The amazing people that work and volunteer for To Life! that I have met along the way are also a huge motivator. Everyone is so kind and generous – makes me want to do more.
Cristine Reynolds
I treasure the wonderful people I have met through To Life!, especially amazing staff, volunteers and breast cancer survivors. I never imagined such a joyful community growing from a dreaded situation like breast cancer. I feel uniquely fortunate to be part of this community.
